The Importance Of Skin Care
Today we are looking at the Importance of Skin Care
Skin is the largest organ of the human body. It protects us from internal injuries, is our own antibacterial agent and can even be a window for identifying health problems! That’s why it’s important that we pay attention to what we put on and in our bodies. This large organ sheds daily! When it does it can show up as dull, dry and flaky areas on your face and body. Studies show that after 2-3 weeks, our bodies have shed our entire outer layer of skin and guess what happens if you don’t wash it off? It just stays there :), yuck! Daily skin care routines can have your skin feeling and looking its best. Even running a towel under warm water to wash your face each night can get you one step closer to that healthy natural glow.
Exfoliation is a hot topic right now and, of course, it can work wonders for removing dead skin cells but be careful! Over exfoliation can create small cracks on your body which means dry, rough skin. LD Botanicals suggest using a soft exfoliant like azucar. Yes, sugar will help your dry spots! Sugar gently dissolves dead skin which is why most use it for the dry areas around the mouth and eyes (Always be careful around you eyes and never get too close).
When you do good, you feeel good! Incorporating skin care into your daily routine can encourage you to integrate other healthy habits in your life. This can include morning affirmations, nightly oral care or even be part of a meditative routine. This will inspire you to glow from the inside, out! (Ding!)
Notice what works for your body and enjoy the small changes! Again, we don’t all have the same skin so our skin care routines will all look different.
For instance people with oily skin may want to try LD Botanicals' Refreshing Mint Facial Cleanser.
While people with acne can try our Lavender Charcoal Facial Cleanser.
All in all, skin care is not just about helping your skin be luminous and clear, it’s also about promoting self wellness. Many times we get so caught up in what’s going on around us that we forget to show our bodies how much we love them and how we cannot do life without them ...literally. A skin care routine is just one way to let your body know that we appreciate them!
Peace, Love & Empowerment!
